A Timeless Timepiece

As most of you know that it was my B’day yesterday, I had a super awesome weekend and I would like to thank you all for your wishes, really made my day 🙂

Besides all the goodies my husband got me, Daniel Wellington, a Swedish watch brand too made my birthday month a special one.

Chic, minimalistic, classy yet perfect for all occasions, a Daniel Wellington watch is a must have for every watch-person. The Daniel Wellington watches have a very English feel to them and for a person like me, a minimalist, these are sheer love. I instantly fell in love with their watch collection and had a tough time picking one as every watch was just so perfect. Moreover, I personally think that these watches also work for all ages, I can totally picture myself wearing this watch even when I am sixty, its a timeless piece.

(p.s. the straps are available separately as well, so you can even purchase multiple straps along and keep changing them, so cool right ?!!)

I wore this watch today for a brunch with friends and this is how I styled it:

Tuscany

I think I have been wanting to do this for a while, I mean, review my favourite places to eat, dine and relish good food. Some of you who follow me on Instagram would have noticed how often I keep going out to places to dine. On some weekends I take a break even from cooking and we go out, mostly exploring new places to eat. Being a Delhiite, you can’t blame me for being a foodie, so what if am a vegetarian, food is still my love !

As most of you know from my Twitter/ Instagram that I had recently completed a year at my job, my husband decided to take me out on a nice dinner date.

Wine, dine and conversations, one of the best things about a relationship, aren’t they ?!

We ended up going to Tuscany at Trident, since it’s one of our favourite places to go so the choice was quite obvious.

t1

Tuscany is an Italian restaurant at Trident Hyderabad inspired by the simple and robust cuisine of the Tuscany region with prime focus on olives, cheese, wine and traditional flavours of Italy.

The warm ambience of flaming red terracotta tiles and Paulin Paris hand-painted murals bring out the Tuscan vibe.

t

Authentic Tuscan ingredients for the plate and an extensive selection of wine, makes this place perfect for a ‘wine and dine’ outing !

Before we could get started with ordering our food, the chef Sanjay, suggested us to have an olive oil-tasting session.

It’s similar to wine-tasting in a way that the whole origin, processing and preparation of each kind of olive oil is different, thus giving each its unique flavour. And honestly we quite enjoyed it !

t2

After the olive-oil tasting, we placed the order. While I ordered vegetarian food items, my husband ordered non-vegetarian food.

t3

The staff is very helpful if you’re even little unsure about what to order. We finally ordered some appetizers and drinks. Sangria for me and White Wine for Shitiz.

 t4

For appetizers, we ordered Trio of Crostini, Footlong (both veg.) and Chicken Brochette.

I liked the footlong more than the other appetizer, because cheese. While Shitiz loved his chicken appetizer and didn’t bother himself to even taste the veg. appetizers !

 t5

After savoring the Tuscan delights for appetizers, we ordered the main course.

For soups, Minestrone for me and Chicken Broth for Shitiz..

t7

As for the meal, I let the chef decide for me (read surprise me !) while Shitiz ordered Chicken Pyramidoli.

The chef got me Beetroot Ravioli.

Now I am not much of a beetroot fan, so I was little reluctant about even trying it. But when I did take a bite, I instantly loved it !

Shitiz was obviously enjoying his meal too and complimented the chef for the same.

Ok, I don’t know how I managed to, blame it on the food to be delicious, I finished the entire serving despite of having all those appetizers and soup !

And then came my favourite part of the meal, dessert time !

I have a sweet-tooth, so I just can’t do without dessert even if full (all the more reason why I should work out sincerely..sigh).

We ordered Crème brûlée and Tiramisu with Raspberry ice-cream. One word: YUMZAAA !

 t10

I thoroughly enjoyed each and every thing, specially my Sangria,  Ravioli & the Tiramisu and I know I’ll keep going back to this place. I love the food. Besides just the taste, food quality is really good.

Also, the ambience is awesome, service is greta, everyone in the staff is warm and welcoming making the whole experience worth it. I’d really like to mention that the chef, Sanjay, is really sweet and super-talented !

I’d definitely recommend Tuscany to each one of my readers 🙂

And this is what I wore:
